Elmhurst, Queens Charter School

In Elmhurst, Queens, Apex Development Group LLC is currently developing the future high school building for Forte Preparatory Academy Charter School. The project will consist of a 60,000sf ground-up facility on a prime parcel fronting Queens Boulevard. Just a short walk from Forte Prep’s existing middle school building which has experienced exceptional performance since its inception, the new school facility will consist of a large high school regulation gymnasium, a separate and distinct cafeteria, a plethora of homeroom and specialty classrooms, ample administration space, and two large multi-level rooftop terraces for outdoor student and staff recreation. Upon completion, Forte will move into the building fully enrolled with grades 9 through 12, housing 560 students. The facility will allow Forte to continue its mission of providing an exceptional educational opportunity for the families of School District 24 in Queens.
